Get to Know the Families of your Clients
Invest in your Relationships
Investing in relationships is an excellent way to build a good reputation and keep a steady stream of clients coming your way. What does this mean? Take the time on your way in to the session (or on your way out) to stop and talk with the siblings of the student you’ve worked with. Find out their hobbies, interests, and ask the parents when their birthdays are so you can send a card and a small gift. When they need a tutor later on, guess who they’re going to want? It will make your relationship stronger with the family as a whole which will result in new clients through word-of-mouth advertising or, at the very least, an awesome new group of friends for you.
“Doing good to others is not a duty, it is a joy, for it increases our own health and happiness.” – Zoroaster
